Was Karen Read the driving force behind the murder of Boston police officer John O'Keefe, or was she merely a scapegoat for a deeper cover-up?
As the jury in Karen Read's murder trial enters deliberations, these are the questions that will weigh heavily on their minds. Read, 44, has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder in the January 2022 death of her boyfriend, Officer O'Keefe. The prosecution alleges that Read was enraged by O'Keefe's infidelity and intentionally shot him while he slept.
